Melissa Williams-Brown under investigation by SAPOL for identity theft and wire fraud
Melissa Williams-Brown posed as an employer conducting background checks in order to illegally obtain educational records and private information from the National Student Clearinghouse.
Officials say Melissa Williams-Brown used forged consent forms and posed as an employer conducting background checks to illegally obtain protected educational records and other personal data from the National Student Clearinghouse, a government agency affiliated with the United States Department of Education (DOE).
Authorities say the latest scam was part of a larger decade long charade where Melissa Williams-Brown went to extraordinary lengths to fake a college degree she never had. Components of the complicated subterfuge included placing fake newspaper articles in the Los Angeles Times and Irvine World News touting degrees and postgraduate work at the prestigious George Washington University.
CyberCX terminated Melissa's employment in July 2021 and refused to comment on the ongoing criminal investigation.

Sometimes while in an alcohol and drug-filled rage, Melissa Williams-Brown will use her twin boys, Zachary and Nathaniel Brown, as pawns to get attention on social media. Forcing them to do strange TikTok Tok and YouTube videos where she can be hard in the background coaching them about the "stalkers" and "someone trying to murder them" in the backyard.
On 05 July 2017, Child Protective Services and South Australia Police were dispatched to the home at 11 Deneland Drive in Hawthorndene when one video went viral after she posted it on her photography website, Twitter and YouTube. Melissa Brown was taken to an area psychiatric hospital and the videos disappeared the following day.
